Why Essentials?

Essentials Hair Collection was founded by Lai, also known as Slayed by Lai, a hairstylist with over 10 years of experience in the beauty industry and a genuine love for all things beauty, hair, and self-expression.

As both a hairstylist and a woman who personally enjoys enhancing her look with hair extensions, Lai understands the experience from both sides of the chair. She knows how much the right hair can transform a look, elevate your appearance, and give you that extra boost of confidence.

But through her years in the industry, she also noticed a disconnect. Women were investing in extensions that didn't always deliver the quality, performance, or overall experience they expected. Seeing this firsthand as a professional, while also understanding the importance of quality hair personally, inspired her to envision something different.
